Most nonprofits would post bios and headshots of their board and team members here.
The Cade Moore family is comprised of deeply private people and highly value their privacy. We also want to respect the privacy of others involved in the organization and will keep all names and photos off of the website unless they specify otherwise.
In order to respect the privacy of our team members while still providing contextual information, we have offered that instead of submitting a bio with potentially identifying information and an image that could be reverse google image searched that they do some of the following:
Instead of a photo of their face, post a photo or several of their favorite photos of their pets or plants.
Instead of providing a first and last name they use a first name and last initial or give their pets' names and identify themselves as the pet parent of the animal photographed.
And that instead of sharing potentially identifying information, like their alma matter, they should keep their bios brief and vague in nature to protect their privacy.
Widget's pet parent has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering but pursued graduate school in the biological sciences and has become somewhat of a subject matter expert when it comes to Electronic Medical Recordkeeping systems.
They have an encyclopedic knowledge across a wide variety of scientific disciplines and could be considered a "mathematical jack of all trades".
They enjoy hydroponic gardening, listening to death metal, and playing PC games like Overwatch 2. (In Overwatch they are a Lucio and Moira main who consistently maintains an endorsement level 5.)
"Catness is our 8 year old Maincoon mix who we rescued from an abusive home when she was about 10 weeks old. She is the most tolerant and vocal cat I’ve ever personally known, who has the patience of a saint from growing up constantly surrounded by kids and puppies. She is also the most energetic 8 year old cat I’ve ever known, always taunting our dog and doing midnight zoomies through the house.
Murphy is our 3 year old Oorang Airedale Terrier, sitting handsome at 100lbs. This fancy boy is also a rescue who we were able to give a forever home to after being discovered almost dead, emaciated, and chained to a trailer out in Tennessee, along with another dog. Despite his previous treatment, it turns out that he is the definition of a gentle giant, who gets along with every dog, cat, and human he encounters. He also seems to believe he is much smaller than he really is, as he is quite fond of attempting to sit on our laps. Murphy is also a registered Emotional Support Animal, who goes most places with me and as you can imagine, he tends to make people smile everywhere he goes!"
Murphy and Catness’s owner is a survivor of human sex trafficking who has used her experiences to assist in the fight against modern slavery here in the U.S.. Along with being a survivor leader in the field of anti-trafficking, she works one on one with addicts in recovery, especially those with sexual trauma as well as a history with the criminal justice system. She is a recovering addict herself with over 13 years clean and a former VA DOC inmate.
